I live near Sherwood Forest with my beautiful wife, Melanie, and our six-year-old son, Albert. He’s brilliant at keeping me grounded — mostly by telling me off for calling a Minecraft character the wrong name! At home, we also have two four-legged lunatics: an ADHD Border Collie and Barnaby, the teddy-bear-shaped bully who thinks he’s in charge!

I wasn’t always behind a camera. I spent years in the Police Force before swapping night shifts in freezing Doncaster for wedding celebrations filled with joy, nerves, and champagne. Becoming a full-time wedding photographer in 2010 was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Melanie and I both run our own businesses — I capture weddings across Yorkshire, the UK, and beyond, while she runs her amazing b Dance School. Creativity is very much a family affair (though the dogs contribute mostly noise).

Over the years, I’ve photographed just about every kind of wedding imaginable: intimate six-guest gatherings, three-day Asian celebrations with hundreds of guests, and everything in between. Inclusivity matters deeply to me. Love is love, and I’ve been honoured to capture LGBTQ+ weddings, cultural traditions, and unique personal touches that make each day unforgettable.

When I’m not working, I’m usually fuelling myself with double chocolate mochas or winding down with a Honey Bourbon — strictly on non-school nights, of course.
