A bride and groom share a kiss in front of a historical painting with figures in 19th-century attire, captured beautifully by a Norwood Park wedding photographer. The bride stuns in her lace gown and veil, while the groom looks dashing in his dark suit with a boutonniere.

Norwood Park Wedding Photographer

What an incredible day Laura and Steven had at Norwood Park last summer – the kind of wedding where they smiled from ear to ear from start to finish and looked like absolute film stars. The sun shone, their guests laughed all day long, and the whole celebration felt effortless and stylish. As their Norwood Park wedding photographer, it was a dream to capture.

A Relaxed Approach to Wedding Photography

A few weeks before the wedding, I met Laura and Steven at The Final Whistle in Southwell to go through their plans. They wanted photographs that felt natural, full of fun, and with as little posing and direction as possible. That suited me perfectly – my documentary style is all about recording the day as it unfolds, so they could just focus on enjoying every moment.

Norwood Park Ceremony Options

One of the things that makes Norwood Park so special is the choice of ceremony spaces. Laura and Steven were able to say their vows at the Starkey Bandstand, a stunning outdoor setting available from May through September.

If the weather turns or you’re marrying outside those months, the Drawing Room inside the house is equally beautiful. Flooded with natural light from its large windows, it’s an indoor space that makes a photographer’s job easy and the images timeless.

Bridal Prep in the Orangery

Laura and her bridesmaids spent the morning in the Orangery – another light-filled, elegant room that’s perfect for bridal preparations. From hair and makeup to those candid little moments between friends, it set the tone for the day perfectly.

And then there’s the famous staircase – a Norwood Park icon. Watching Laura descend towards the ceremony was nothing short of magical.

The Gallery and Wedding Breakfast

After their ceremony, Laura and Steven celebrated with family and friends in the Gallery. This striking room, with its high ceilings and mirrors, is ideal for wedding breakfasts and speeches. The natural light makes everything feel bright and airy – perfect for relaxed, candid photography.

Why Couples Love Norwood Park

When you book Norwood Park, you get exclusivity from 12 noon until midnight. That means the whole estate is yours, with no other weddings happening on the same day. It’s a huge advantage – and one of the many reasons I love photographing here.

Norwood Park has been a private home for over 150 years and is still lived in by the Starkey family when events aren’t taking place. That sense of history and warmth comes through in every room.

A Photographer’s Dream

From the house itself to the gardens, orchard, lake, and dancefloor, Norwood Park offers endless backdrops for photography. Whether it’s relaxed portraits under the trees, laughter during speeches, or the energy of the dancefloor, it’s a venue that brings out the best in everyone.

As a Norwood Park wedding photographer, I love how versatile the spaces are. Every wedding looks unique here, but they all share the same timeless quality.
