When my brief is ‘Just do your thing’, I know it’s going to be a fab wedding day to cover! I found out what a laid-back wedding it was going to be to photographed when I met up with Nick and Michelle for a pint at The Final Whistle pub in Southwell. Despite their fun-loving todler Alfie pinching my crisps, we had a great time!

Nickl and Michelle had a beautiful church wedding in the Nottinghamshire village of Cromwell, followed by a stunning wedding reception at Kelham House Country Manor. The day was a mixture of cloud, heavy rain…and a gorgeous 15-minute window of beautiful sunshine just before sunset – perfection! With its beautiful Nottinghamshire woodland backdrop, wedding photography at Kelham House Country Manor is a breeze as you can see in the photos above and below!

Cromwell church is a short walk from where Nick and Michelle live (their beautiful home is pictured below) – it’s such a lovely village!

The church is in such a beautiful rural setting – it is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. It offers beautiful natural light from the altar, this isn’t always the case in a lot of churches.

Who doesnt love a vintage Volvo! it’ll still be going strong in another 30 years!
