Well, it finally happened! After postponement after postponement (due to the dreaded Covid pandemic) Lindsey and Mike FINALLY got married and had the most memorable day of their lives! Originally scheduled for June 2020, they finally had their dream wedding, with the reception held at the magnificent Rise Hall, near Beverley. I had met the lovely couple a few years before when Lindsey’s sister Alison held their wedding reception at Rise Hall after her marriage to Richard!
There are few finer places to wed than the exclusive private estate of Rise Hall. The estate is nestled in the lush countryside of East Yorkshire with sweeping grounds perfect for your most intimate wedding day. Rise is the largest privately owned Grade II stately country house venue in East Yorkshire and is situated just 7 miles from Beverley. I have been lucky enough to be a Rise Hall wedding photographer no less than ten times over the years.

Rise Hall Wedding Reception
Lindsay and Mike and their wedding party arrived at Rise Hall the canopies and champagne on the pristine lawns of the house. The sun shined all day long – a rarity for us Yorkshire folk!

There is nothing like the feeling of being able to look out on one of the most beautiful locations in Yorkshire and see your guests smiling as they take in the beauty that surrounds them. As you can imagine, Lindsay and Mike were delighted with their stunning wedding day at Rise Hall. All had a fabulous day, as can be seen in the smiles and laughter throughout the photographs. The wedding of Lindsay and Mike was very personal, intimate and unique. I loved the way that they created a beautiful day for their guests to remember, each part of the house was decorated artistically and to perfection.
